Four fighters from MMA Institute competed this past weekend at Operation Octagon in Chantilly, VA.  MMA Institute went 3 – 1.  Angel Ortiz . . . . . . was submitted by a tight guillotine choke in the 2nd round by a tough opponent in Jessie Mitchell.  Ryan O’Donnell had a tough match in his MMA debut.  His opponent Jarreau Mobley pressed the action from the very start of the match.  Ryan managed to maintain his composure to end the fight by rear naked choke with one second left in the 2nd round.  Lee Swecker ended his fight by TKO, referee stoppage due to strikes in the 2nd round.  Joe Bauserman finally had his much anticipated return to the cage.  Persevering through disappointment after having several opponents back out on him at previous events, Joe finally had an opponent for Operation Octagon.  Joe completely dominated the fight at every range.  He delivered many nasty elbows on the ground to win by unanimous decision.  Be sure to congratulate all of the fighters who have competed and continue to represent MMA Institute proudly!
